Saturn with its orbital period of 29.5 years is the sixth planet from the Sun and the second largest planet in the Solar System.
In astrology,
Saturn traditionally is the ruling planet of Capricorn and it is
associated with restriction, limitation, rule, authority and order, in
this sense it is often said that “What Jupiter expands, Saturn
constricts”. In financial astrology Saturn is closely tracked
because of its tendency to depress prices when in unfavorable position
in the sky or in the natal charts.
The symbol of
the planet Saturn reminds of a sickle and it is associated with its role
as ruler of agriculture and more symbolically with death as the moment
of harvesting life.
The planet
Saturn has been closely observed by the ancients since the time of the
Sumerian civilization because its cycle was closely correlated with crop

civilizations and ruler of social order.
